While the students are away from campus this summer, we have seized this opportunity to prioritize our active shooter response training, in collaboration with Piedmont Fire Department (PFD) and Piedmont Unified School District (PUSD). This intensive training focused on victim injury and extraction, aiming to enhance our preparedness and ensure the safety of our community.

Studies consistently reveal that a quick response by trained personnel dramatically increases survival rates in active shooter incidents. Therefore, we made it our mission to equip our first responders with the skills and knowledge needed to swiftly and effectively handle such critical situations.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all who volunteered and the PUSD who provided the training environment which allowed our first responders to become familiar with the new facilities. Your dedication and commitment to community safety are truly commendable
