July Fourth | Early birds get the pancakes

PCSC members flipping pancakes in 2019

Piedmont Veterans Hall will again be the site for the annual Piedmont July Fourth pancake breakfast hosted by the Piedmont Community Service Crew. The annual event takes place before the parade and typically hosts over 400 breakfast diners who range from old-timers who have been attending this event for decades, to new families with kids in tow.

You can buy tickets at the door from 8 – 10:30 a.m. but ordering tickets in advance HERE is a good way to help PCSC plan for the holiday crowds.

On the menu: Pancakes, sausages donated by Piedmont Grocery, fresh fruit donated by Village Market, fresh coffee donated by Starbucks, juice, and all accompanying condiments.

Tickets:
  • Adult, age 15+: $15
  • Youth, age 3-14: $10
  • Children, under 3: Free

All proceeds will support the philanthropic efforts of Piedmont Community Service Crew, which include many major service projects — most notably the annual collaboration with Rebuilding Together Oakland, but also planning menus and cooking meals for the food insecure, building tiny homes for the houseless, constructing planter boxes for seniors, and a homework club at an East Oakland elementary school.
