Piedmont police issue strong arm robberies alert

PPD

Suspect vehicle in strong arm robberies.

From a May 6 Piedmont Police social media post:

The Piedmont Police Department would like to alert residents of two strong arm robberies that have recently occurred in the area of Magnolia Ave./Bonita Ave. followed by another robbery at Oakland and El Cerrito. It is possible that these robberies were preceded by other robberies on Piedmont Avenue. We are actively investigating these incidents and are taking all necessary measures to identify and apprehend the suspects. The vehicle appears to be a newer model black Hyundai Hatchback with tinted windows occupied by multiple suspects.

We ask that all residents remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Piedmont Police Department immediately. We also urge everyone to take extra precautions when walking or traveling alone, especially after dark.

If you have any information that may be helpful to our investigation, please contact the Piedmont Police Department at (510) 420-3000. Together, we can work to keep our community safe. We will update as we have more information.
