Cleaning your closet? Drop your DBFL donations off in town on May 19

This Friday, May 19 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Dress Best for Less: Recycled Style (DBFL) is teaming up with the Piedmont Education Foundation (PEF) to offer Piedmont families another easy way to donate to DBFL.

Drop off your bagged or boxed donations of gently used clothing or home décor to the PEF office at 401 Highland Avenue. The DBFL team will pick up your generous donations and transport them to our new donation center for you.

DBFL has been raising money for Piedmont schools by collecting clothing and household items to resell to the community for almost 40 years. The organization — which has its main storefront on Piedmont Ave. — moved its drop-off site to the First Congregational Church in Oakland at 2501 Harrison Street (across from Whole Foods) due to pool construction in 2022. Since then, DBFL has started offering occasional in-town drop-off dates to make it easier for families to donate.
