As the Piedmont Recreational Facilities Organization enters the final stage of fundraising for the new Piedmont pool facility, they would like to thank the community for coming together to raise the funds necessary to complete the project. Every dollar raised through this campaign will go directly to completing the pool complex, ensuring that it meets the needs of the community for decades to come.

“The dream of creating a world-class aquatic facility is nearing a reality,” said PRFO President Steve Collins. “Over 250 community members have committed from 50 dollars to 500,000 dollars to help reshape central Piedmont. The passion and generosity of Piedmont residents have surpassed all expectations. The success to date proves that nothing can stop our community from improving the quality of life for Piedmonters and our broader community.”

In addition to individual community member support, the campaign has received substantial commitments from groups such as the Piedmont High School Athletic Boosters, Piedmont Beautification Foundation, Piedmont Education Foundation, and the Piedmont Scouts as well as local sports clubs, demonstrating the community’s strong support for the new facility.

Significant progress has been made towards fully matching the $500,000 anonymous gift announced in January, and there is still time to double your impact. There is also one naming opportunity remaining within the pool facility, and interested parties are encouraged to connect with Eric Havian, PRFO’s Fundraising Chair, to discuss. The campaign, which began in September 2022, will wrap up on June 1, 2023. Contributions of any amount are welcome and all gifts $500 or more made prior to June 1 will receive prominent recognition at the new facility.

To keep residents informed about the progress of the project, the City has installed a camera that can be found at https://piedmont.ca.gov/government/projects/piedmont_community_pool. The camera provides a live feed of the construction site, allowing residents to watch as the new facility takes shape.
