Wildwood Elementary School principal to retire at end of school year

Wildwood Principal Carol Cramer

From a PUSD press release on Jan. 25

After 35 years with the Piedmont Unified School District, including 23 years as principal of Wildwood Elementary School, Carol Cramer has announced her decision to retire at the end of the school year.

“I have loved my time in the District and particularly at Wildwood with students, staff, and families,” she said in a PUSD press release. “There has been much joy in the work which I will miss tremendously. I feel very fortunate for the many ways I’ve been able to participate in work across the District and the opportunities I’ve had for growth and learning, individually and alongside many wonderful teams. I am grateful to have colleagues I treasure, mentors I admire, and partners in the community that have both supported and inspired me.”

Ms. Cramer joined PUSD as a teacher at Beach Elementary School in 1988 before moving to Wildwood as principal in 2000. Her leadership has benefited countless Piedmont students over the years. Please join me in thanking Ms. Cramer for her service to the community and in wishing her the best for a well-deserved retirement.

PUSD will begin its search for Wildwood’s next principal immediately. The position will be posted next week with interviews to take place in the spring. Please contact my office with any questions.
