After all outdoor Harvest Festival events were canceled due to an unusual rainstorm last month, parent volunteers and the Piedmont Education Foundation had to switch gears quickly to keep the Scarecrow Alley fundraising event alive. The event was moved online and culminated in an in-person display in Piedmont Park on Sunday, Oct. 2.
Event organizers said on Tuesday they raised $6,550 for Piedmont schools. The scarecrows can now be spotted around town in the yards of the lucky auction winners.
