When rain canceled all outdoor events of the annual Harvest Festival on Sept. 18, it not only put a damper on the carnival and music festivals, but meant that a host of handmade class scarecrows — traditionally created, displayed, and then auctioned off to raise money for the Piedmont Education Foundation — were suddenly homeless.
But now PUSD volunteers have moved Scarecrow Alley online, where you can bid on 19 scarecrows by Beach, Havens, and Wildwood classrooms HERE until Sunday Oct. 2 at 8 a.m. or in person at Piedmont Park this Sunday, Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Scarecrow delivery available Sunday, October 2 on request.
