I am writing to urge our community to elect Ruchi Medhekar for Piedmont School Board on November 8th. I have gotten to know Ruchi over the last several years as a fellow Beach mom and parent club leader. I can attest to her strong leadership and deep commitment to providing our students with a rich, vibrant school environment where they can discover their full power as learners.
Ruchi is a remarkable person. Despite a demanding career in technology, she has dedicated her time to multiple key volunteer positions across our district and city, including the Piedmont Education Foundation board, the PUSD Budget Advisory Committee, and the district Site Council among others. She has used her voice to advocate for students, families, teachers, and other staff to promote high-quality, welcoming, and well-run schools in Piedmont.
I am proud to chair Ruchi’s campaign for School Board. This year, we have a critical opportunity to elect two new Board trustees who will help hire our new superintendent. Ruchi is perfect for this role. She is gifted at bringing people together and listening deeply to diverse community voices. She is the ideal leader to help PUSD chart a successful path into the future.
