I met Jen Long almost a decade ago when our boys played basketball together. Jen was very invested in her kids’ lives. We had many lovely conversations on the sidelines of baseball and basketball games about our families. She is grounded, practical and witty, and appreciates the opinions and perspectives of others. I believe her ideals and vision for the future of our city — fiscal responsibility, robust public discourse, and prioritizing public safety — align with mine. As a resident of Oakland Ave, safe streets are a top priority for me and I am glad to know that public safety is high on her list of priorities. I know she would be a valuable city council member. I look forward to casting my vote for Jen Long for Piedmont City Council.
