Tracking COVID in Piedmont | Aug. 2

There have been only 15 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Piedmont since last week, according to the Alameda County Health Department’s COVID-19 dashboard. Unofficially, though, it sure feels like a lot more people have recently tested positive.

COVID case counts in Piedmont on Tuesday stood at 1,578— up from 1,563 on July 19. (Case data is updated daily but may change as the county reconciles its records. Official numbers do not reflect actual local case numbers due to increased use of home testing.)

School starts on August 10 and there’s no word yet on how (or if) PUSD plans to track COVID cases in school.
