Piedmont student prevails in 60 mile bike race

Jasper Schuetz, a rising 9th grader at Piedmont High School, placed first in the Junior Men’s category at the Lost and Found gravel race on June 4. The race was held in the town of Portola, CA in the High Sierra and the ride was 60 miles long on gravel roads.

Jasper’s time of 5:08:07 was 28 minutes faster than the runner up in his category of Junior Men (under 18). Jasper looks forward to racing with the Piedmont High School Mountain Biking Team and racing more over the summer.
