The students of Piedmont High School’s Guitar Engineering course are planning a showcase and celebration on Thursday, May 19 from 7 – 9 p.m. on the engineering patio of the new STEAM building.
The course was offered for the first time during the 2021-22 school year and incorporates elements of design, technology, engineering, physics, chemistry and mathematics. Each student built at least one solid-body electric guitar, some of which will be up for auction at the event.
The students, under the direction of PHS teacher Marna Chamberlain, planned the event which will include a live performance and dessert bar in addition to the guitar display and auction. Funds raised will go towards offsetting course expenses both this year and next. To learn more or donate, visit https://www.showtix4u.com/event-details/64895
