Church sponsors fundraiser for Ukrainian family

The Refugee Task Force (RTF) of Piedmont Community Church is hosting a fundraising dinner on Saturday, June 4 at 6 p.m .to benefit the Putrenkov family, who recently escaped from the war-torn Donbas region of Ukraine.

Alex, his wife Maryna, and 7-year-old son Vlad are now safe and living with a family in Piedmont, but are in need of financial aid to help them settle, become employed, and to obtain reliable transportation.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails in the Courtyard before moving into Guild Hall for a full-service dinner at 7 p.m. The event will be capped off by a live auction at 8 p.m.

A limited number of 100 tickets will be sold at a cost of $150. Tickets can be purchased through the church website at PiedmontChurch.org/RTF. Piedmont Community Church is located at 400 Highland Avenue.
