Science for all ages at open-air exhibit this weekend

Carnivorous plants? Check! Balloon rocket cars? Check! A parabolic mirror marshmallow roaster? Check!

This Saturday, SCIENCE-PALOOZA, the Lawrence Hall of Science and UC Berkeley’s expansive outdoor science fair caps the Bay Area Science Festival‘s 10 days of events for all ages. Budding scientists and their curious adults can roam 18 exhibits on the Lawrence Hall of Science’s big outdoor plaza for three hours on what promises to be a warm and sunny day.

Cal departments, student groups, scientists, artists, designers and community partners will host demonstrations and activities across a range of disciplines. More information on individual exhibits is HERE.

SCIENCE-PALOOZA: Saturday, April 30, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Lawrence Hall of Science, 1 Centennial Drive, Berkeley. Entry to outside plaza activities is free, and entry to the indoor permanent exhibitions is a steeply discounted $5. Reservations for indoor entry are required.
