According to the Alameda County Health Department’s COVID-19 dashboard, COVID case counts in Piedmont remain stable at 837 — no increase over the weekend. (Reminder: the county often adjusts numbers up or down as they reconcile their data every week so that number may change.)
On Monday PUSD posted case numbers from the week after winter break. As expected, given the number of families traveling during the vacation, the number of students testing positive was higher than it had been. These new cases were likely accounted for in last week’s Alameda County numbers.
(PUSD has been posting COVID cases numbers for the prior week on Mondays, but does not post over holiday breaks.)
