Warm and dry weather is here to stay this week, with not a drop of rain in sight, due to a strengthening high pressure system, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday will see daytime high temperatures in Piedmont near 74 degrees, with highs approaching 76 on both Thursday and Friday. Overnight temperatures will hover around 50 degrees, the weather service reported.

The warming trend will continue through the weekend.

The weather service anticipates above normal temperatures will continue through mid-month across the state. The long range forecast remains dry through at least the middle of the month.
