The Oakland Magic Circle presents a Magic Celebration Gala on Tuesday, March 1 at Oakland’s Scottish Rite Center. Five award-winning magicians present a live, family-friendly show both in-person and virtually.
Featured entertainment includes:
- Mario the Maker brings creative Wonderment and Hilarity with Robots and Punk Rock Slapstick through the lens of the Maker Movement. Watch Live Show teaser and robot tour video.
- Surprise performance by Meriam Al Sultan – Making the Impossible seem Possible Before Your Eyes.
- James Chan, a 14-year-old wizard and juggler, amazes and delights audiences. Watch James perform and meeting Penn & Teller on ACCESS Daily TV Show.
- Pirate Jack Spareribs opens a treasure chest of amazing magical oddities in his new show.
- Glen Micheletti, the Bay Area’s favorite character magician, will be the Master of Ceremonies as COUSiN OTiS.
Showtime: 7pm-9pm | Doors Open at 6:30pm
Audiences will have a choice of seeing the show in person or a recording streaming on a delayed schedule*. In person attendance will require proof of vaccination (actual card, on phones or via Vaccines.gov), I.D. and wearing a mask. Seating will be socially distanced. No food or beverages will be allowed.

The Oakland Magic Circle is a non-profit club dedicated to the art of prestidigitation open to interested people pf all ages. It is the oldest independent magic club west of the Mississippi, operating continuously since 1926.
