From a Public Works message on Feb. 3
A major walkway to Beach Elementary school will be closed to pedestrians staring Monday, Feb. 7 – Wednesday, Feb. 9 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. due to construction around the lawn area in Linda Park. There will be truck and tractor activity and the area will be closed off as it will be an active construction site.
The pedestrian pathway that runs from Oakland Avenue to the corner of Linda and Lake Avenues will have a partial closure. You will be able to walk from Oakland Avenue to the entrance of the Off Leash Dog Park. However, with this closure if you are walking from Oakland Avenue after 8:30am, you will not be able to reach Beach School. The section from the Off Leash Dog Park north to the corner of Linda and Lake Avenues will be closed.
Public Works will be posting signage and barricades tomorrow to notify pedestrians in advance.
We understand this will be an inconvenience to families walking to school. We ask that you respect the barricades and not walk into the construction zone.
