PADC sponsors MLK Day student showcase

PADC invites K-12 students to contribute art and writing to be showcased at the annual MLK Celebration on Jan. 17, 2022 and to be published in PADC’s new journal. Works should be centered on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s concept of “the beloved community” — a community that is inclusive, caring, and equitable, without hate or racism. What does building a beloved community mean to you? How can we create an inclusive and beloved community in Piedmont?

Submit a piece of 2D art or an essay or poem in response to this year’s theme. Artwork can be of any medium but must be flat, scannable and no larger than 8.5” x 11” inches.

Writing should be no more than 500 words and no more than two pages.

The deadline for submission is Jan. 10, 2022. Find more details HERE.
