Adoption story: We adopted Sage from Wright Way Rescue in Niles, Illinois when she was 8 weeks old. She was the last in her litter to be picked up that day. At the time, the woman who adopted Sage’s sister’s had written us a note with her contact information and suggested we meet up with our dogs sometime. About a month later I emailed her and she invited us over for a puppy play date, which included drinks and hors d’oeuvres for the owners, not the puppies. Sage and her sister were got along famously — and we are still friends 10 years later. She even came to our wedding. The human, not the dog.
Likes: Any food available. She is hugely motivated by food. She also loves people, walks, chasing squirrels, and swimming.
Dislikes: She is not super social and into other dogs. She hates thunder and does not like being left alone.
Anything else? She is the best dog in the world and we love her very much.
