Annual Tree Lighting set for Dec. 1

Piedmont Beautification Foundation (PBF) is thrilled to kick off the holiday season with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony — in person after a pandemic hiatus and virtual event in 2020. PBF will host this community celebration on Wed., Dec. 1 at 7:00 p.m. at Piedmont Community Hall.

The festivities will include caroling by the PHS a cappella group the Troubadours, candy canes for kids, and a welcome from city dignitaries. Children will be greeted by Mrs. Claus and an elf, and they will have the chance to talk with Santa — outdoors with COVID protocols. Special needs children will be able to see Santa at 6:30 p.m. Bring your letters to Santa and deposit in our special mailbox — replies guaranteed! A special guest from The Make-A-Wish Foundation/Believe Campaign will light the tree.

We hope you can join us for this long-standing Piedmont tradition’s return!

Piedmont Beautification Foundation maintains, installs, and removes the colorful LED lights that adorn the tree each year. A donation to PBF at the holidays provides an opportunity to extend warm wishes to friends and neighbors. Give today to be included in PBF’s holiday greetings. Learn more HERE.
