Tracking COVID in Piedmont | Oct. 5

Even as cases continue to drop dramatically in Alameda County, over the weekend five new COVID cases were reported in town, bringing the cumulative case count in Piedmont to 267 from 262 on Friday.

PUSD’s COVID-19 dashboard shows an uptick in staff cases last week, but no in-school transmission.

The FDA’s vaccine advisory committee will meet on Oct. 14-15 to discuss boosters for those the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson shots and will hold an additional meeting on Oct. 26 to review Pfizer’s vaccine data for children ages 5-11. (Read full FDA press release HERE.)
