Tracking COVID in Piedmont | Sept. 28

Case counts up by one over the weekend, from 260 to 261 on Tuesday, Sept. 28.

A few new cases in Piedmont schools were reported last week, now reflected in the PUSD dashboard for 9/18-9/24:

Overall, case counts continue to decline in the county, with the unvaccinated accounting for most reported cases:

On Tuesday, Pfizer and BioNTech said they submitted data to the FDA that the companies said showed that their coronavirus vaccine is safe and effective in children ages 5 to 11. They will submit a formal request to allow the vaccine to be administered to children in the U.S. “in the coming weeks.”
