Family: Becky, Jeff, Jake, Matthew and Abby Bleich
Pets: Lucy and Poppy
Age: Lucy is 12 and Poppy is 6
Breed: Boston Terriers
Adoption Story: We fell in love with a coworker’s Boston, and when one of hers had puppies we drove to Oregon to bring Lucy home. Thinking that two could only be better, we found a second in Sacramento six years later. Poppy was the runt of her litter, but is the dominant dog of the two. They have completely different personalities for being the same breed.
Likes: Both dogs love napping in sunny spots in our house or on our deck, begging in the kitchen, and barking at our neighbors. They both love stuffed toys, but while Lucy licks hers, Poppy disembowels them.
Dislikes: Lucy has decided that she no longer considers a piece of fruit or vegetable a treat. Lucy has a morbid fear of anything inflatable, and will attack any balloon or ball until she pops it. Poppy hates being on a leash, and causes a scene by attacking her leash on every walk around our neighborhood if she spots another dog, a person, a squirrel, or a bird.
Interesting Facts: Our dogs like each other much better after we brought our cat Oscar home last year. They are a united anti-cat front now!
