What’s the deal with…?

… the Transbay Bus, otherwise known as the P Line?

Bus stop at Oakland Avenue and Hillside.

AC Transit cut service on the popular Piedmont to San Francisco bus line during the pandemic, and currently only operates two evening service routes from the SalesForce Transit Center to Piedmont, Monday – Friday, at 4:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.

An AC Transit customer service representative said the agency was starting to roll out more services as COVID restrictions loosen and said the best way to stay informed was by following their Twitter and Facebook accounts.

We tested out AC Transit’s Twitter response team and — refreshingly — received a response to our query regarding the P Line within an hour. “Our planning department is aware of the need for AM schedules on Line P,” said AC Transit. “They’re currently putting together our fall service changes, and this is something they’re looking into specifically. Stay tuned in the coming months for an official announcement once these plans are solidified.”

Thanks to Margaret Hiller for submitting the query.
