The Blotter | Pair of cars stolen in Piedmont

Two cars were reported stolen from Piedmont within hours of each other.

One theft happened outside a home on Sea View Avenue either the night of June 5 or the morning of June 6. The car is a gray 2014 Infiniti QX80 SUV. The car had been parked at approximately 10:30 p.m. and was discovered missing at 12:15 p.m. the next day. The license plate is California D603T0.

The second theft happened on Wyngaard Avenue. The gray 2013 Honda Accord sedan was parked in front and discovered stolen at 7:30 a.m. The license plate is California 6ZMC282. Both thefts have been reported to the Piedmont Police Department.

On May 30, a small black and white dog was found on Sharon Avenue and brought to police. The PPD put a picture of the dog on the Department’s social media accounts and the owner called in. The dog was reunited with the owner.

On June 2, an ice cream truck was reported to the police for playing its music too loud on Highland Avenue. “It has become a nuisance to some of the neighbors on Mountain Avenue,” Piedmont Police Department Captain Chris Monahan said. “We have asked the driver to turn it down and they have been very cooperative.”
