Piedmont native Claire Menke (PHS ’06) and Daniel Priestley announced their engagement on December 31, 2018. The couple met after both had graduated from Stanford University, where Claire was a tour guide and a member of the equestrian team, and Dan was on the swimming and football teams. Claire currently works as a research manager at Facebook, and Dan leads the semi-truck program at Tesla. The couple live in Capitola, near Santa Cruz.
Their wedding, originally scheduled to be held in Sonoma County on June 6, 2020, was postponed to May 29, 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The couple plans to honeymoon in Italy…eventually.
