According to the most recent update from the Alameda County Office of Public Health on Dec. 18, total coronavirus cases in Piedmont as of today stood at 85, up from 80 on Dec. 15. Recorded cases of COVID-19 in Piedmont have increased by 5 in the last four days, and 28 in the last month.
The increase reflects the upward trend of cases across the state, even as the first vaccines were rolled out on Monday for frontline healthcare workers.
(Note: The county database is updated daily, but counts for a particular past date can change as records are adjusted, per a caveat on the county’s data dashboard.)
A group of five Piedmont residents got together in Calistoga last Monday leading to multiple new cases. In fact members of the group traveled to Cabo and Truckee. The wealthy are different but covid does not discriminate.
