As we navigate these uncertain times, one thing remains constant; Piedmont schools are the heart and soul of this incredible town. Supporting our schools is a deeply-held value for many of our friends and neighbors, including the three dedicated women that have given an enormous amount of their time and energy to spearhead the Giving Campaign through a season of unprecedented challenges.
This year’s Piedmont Education Foundation’s Giving Campaign’s volunteer co-chairs — Amelie Kappes, Teebie Saunders, and Colleen Allan — share their thoughts on why they have invested so much time, effort, and passion into Piedmont’s largest annual school fundraiser.
“In these difficult times, we see many important reasons to contribute to the Giving Campaign and support our students and schools. The community values Piedmont’s strong schools and with our help, when students return to full-day, in-person school, they will find waiting for them the robust and excellent educational experience we expect in Piedmont.”

As we approach the final days of the Giving Campaign, the chairs report over $2.7 million raised so far, very close to the $3 million goal needed by our schools to help students succeed. Those who make a donation or a pledge by December 31 will be included in the published donor honor roll lists published through both local media and PEF communications.
The co-chairs close with a request. “This holiday season, join us and over 1000 of your fellow community members in experiencing the joy of giving to support Piedmont students. Every dollar is needed for the 2021-22 school year and every gift makes a difference.”
Contributions can be sent to PEF at 401 Highland Ave, or made online at PiedmontEdFoundation.org/Donate/
