Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choir’s Future Voices program guides young people through a semester of training in vocal technique, rhythm and harmony, music literacy, and a special virtual choir project. Whether your aspirations include joining a choir, auditioning for the school musical, solo vocal lessons, or writing and performing your own songs, middle and high school students will learn the skills needed for success as they explore their creative voice. No prior musical experience is required.
Course instructor and PEBCC Associate Conductor Tim Silva shares: “I am so excited to begin the Future Voices group, which I hope can serve as a jumping-off point toward any number of musical endeavors. Instrumentalists and vocalists will gain new skills and become more well rounded musicians while working together with peers to create new content.”
This new program begins Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 8 pm (7:30 – 8 p.m. may be used for individual coaching to keep things flexible with students’ academic homework and family commitments) starting January 26, 2021.
Full tuition for the semester is $725, and PEBCC is committed to equitable and inclusive access to all programming, seeking out funding support to ensure that EVERY child can participate regardless of a family’s current financial circumstances.
In recognition of the ongoing economic impacts the pandemic has upon many in our community, they are working closely with families to provide financial assistance and payment plans to make sure all young people can participate.
