It’s been more than six months since the Bay Area has seen widespread rain. With last week’s showers, and rain and mountain snow on track across Northern California this Tuesday – Wednesday, the wet weather should signal the end of fire season, according to climate scientist Daniel Swain who tracks extreme weather events. As of 5 p.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service Bay Area reported the Oakland Hills received .41 inches of rain.
Looking ahead to Thanksgiving week, the weather looks mild with no rain currently in the forecast.
