Letter to the Editor | Piedmont needs Jen Cavenaugh on the City Council for four more years

Jen Cavenaugh is a tireless advocate for all things good in Piedmont. She seems to be everywhere at once, engaged positively and deeply in the formative stages of many Piedmont endeavors.

Just in the past few months, I have seen her proactively involved in numerous efforts beyond the formal activities of the City Council. Such extra activities included: a student-led effort to encourage use of masks by students, public meetings regarding potential energy efficiency and electrification changes to building codes, and multiple efforts aimed at enhancing racial and economic justice and diversity in Piedmont and the broader community.

She is extensively connected to folks in the community, and cares for, and represents, all.

During City Council meetings, her probing questions and insights make it clear that she is very well prepared and educated on the issues and always brings her keen intellect to bear for the benefit of the community. Her energy, cool-headed balance, integrity, resolve, judgment and commitment are huge pluses for Piedmont.

Please join me in supporting her re-election to the City Council.

Cavanaugh is an incumbent seeking a second four-year term for City Council.
