BLM solidarity event Friday, August 28

Black Lives Matter Protest in Piedmont Park in June, 2020.

The Youth Anti-Racism Project (YAP) and Piedmont Racial Equity Campaign (PREC) are organizing a Black Lives Matter Solidarity event on Friday, August 28, from 5 – 6 p.m. at Piedmont Park and/or via Zoom.

From the PADC email promoting the event:

The message of the event is “Let’s Keep Moving”.  Though the Black Lives Matter flag at Piedmont City Hall is coming down at the end of August, we must keep fighting for racial justice in Piedmont and beyond. Youth leaders, city council and others will share a few words. If you cannot join in-person, please RSVP here and the Zoom link will be shared before the event.

If you have any questions, please reach out to piedmontracialequity@gmail.com or harmoneegrace10@gmail.com

***For those attending in-person, please wear masks and keep at least 6 feet of distance between individuals at all times.***
