AP Studio Art students shine

The Advanced Placement (AP) Studio Art class at Piedmont High School (PHS) recently received news of a 100% passing rate on the 2020 AP 2-D Art and Design exam.

“The student artists worked hard in challenging conditions,” said Gillian Bailey, PHS’s Chair of Visual and Performing Arts. “We are so proud of them.”

Results are still coming in for the 2020 AP Art History exam, but the AP Art History class has already reached a 92+% passing rate. “Ms. Bailey knows a lot about how the AP portfolio works so we were all super prepared going into it, even with all of the struggles surrounding COVID,” said Clara Castronovo, PHS Class of 2020. “I will definitely continue to pursue art in college and in life. Much of the reason for that is the extremely positive experience I had taking the art classes at Piedmont.”

Robust and inspiring art curriculum is one more reason why Piedmont schools are exceptional. #PiedmontProud.
