Seen on Sunday: George Floyd response, “cancel rent” protest

Spotted on telephone poles throughout central Piedmont on Sunday: Flyers outlining ways residents could take action to support social justice efforts in the wake of George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis.

And a car protest by the “Lonay Tenants Council” drive through town with a Piedmont Police escort. According to a NextDoor post, the group was calling for protesters to “Help us demand that the landlord [Linda Lonay] cancel rent and negotiate with tenants.”
