A popular yoga destination for many Piedmont, Oakland, and Berkeley residents has had to call it quits. In an email to clients, the studio’s founder Kimberley Leo said the “compounding pressures of closing our Berkeley location, our transition to a teacher employee model due to AB5, and now COVID-19 have put the business and community under too much stress. After 16 years of business, Namaste will close on June 14. Virtual classes will continue through June 14. The email notes you can support and stay in touch with teachers here .
