The latest developments around the region related to the novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, as of Monday afternoon include:
- Monterey County is opening novel coronavirus testing locations at Alisal High School in Salinas and the Greenfield Branch of the Monterey County Free Library this week. According to county health officials, the Salinas community testing site will open at 8 a.m. Wednesday at 777 Williams Road. The Greenfield community testing site will open at 8 a.m. Tuesday at 315 El Camino Real.
- The skate park, ball fields and courts in Novato reopened Monday and the farmers market returns this week under the revised county health order that extends the shelter-in-place extension to May 31 that eases some restrictions. Playing of sports is limited to small groups provided participants do not share a ball or equipment with anyone outside of their own household.
- Marin County opened a novel coronavirus testing site in the Canal neighborhood in San Rafael on Monday. Testing will be free and by appointment only, with priority for essential workers and people experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. There will be multilingual staff available to assist with appointment booking and testing.
- Hayward’s COVID-19 hotline call center is moving to a six-days-a-week schedule with live call takers available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, effective immediately. People who call the hotline at (510) 583-4949 on Sundays will be able to leave messages that will get a response as quickly as possible.

- Alameda County: 1,776 cases (+71), 63 deaths
- Contra Costa County: 947 cases (+13), 28 deaths
- Marin County: 240 cases (+1), 13 deaths
- Monterey County: 235 cases (+13), 6 deaths (+1)
- Napa County: 74 cases (+5), 2 deaths
- San Francisco County: 1,624 cases (+81), 29 deaths
- San Mateo County: 1,281 cases (+48), 51 deaths
- Santa Clara County: 2,244 cases (+40), 117 deaths (+3)
- Santa Cruz County: 137 cases (+3), 2 deaths
- Solano County: 266 cases, 5 deaths
- Sonoma County: 257 cases (+9), 3 deaths (+1)
- Statewide: 54,937 cases (+2,740), 2,254 deaths (+83)
