Dress Best for Less (DBFL), Piedmont’s own non-profit resale shop, is seeking new donations in advance of its move back to Piedmont Avenue on Mar. 7. The new store location is 4020 Piedmont Avenue, near Piedmont Grocery.
Donate your good quality (current fashion, no rips, tears, or stains) spring clothing, especially women’s tops, as well as home decor. Other needs include a CD player with radio and speakers, medium-size rugs and small furniture for retail display. Contact Christy Smith (christyfjs@yahoo.com) or Huldah Hodgkinson (huldah510@gmail.com) for details regarding donations.
Over the past 30 years, DBFL has donated in excess of 1 million dollars to the Piedmont Education Foundation (PEF). PEF is devoted to promoting academic excellence, investing in innovation and providing sustained financial support to the Piedmont Unified School district (www.PiedmontEdFoundation.org).
DBFL also proudly gives back to the community at large. The organization regularly donates to community groups in the East Bay and beyond, such as Bay Area schools, St. Vincent de Paul, animal rescue organizations, Oakland Children’s Hospital and as well as other local organizations in need.
