Cancer League members honored their major donors to the annual upcoming black tie event, Holly Ball, with a cocktail reception on Thursday, Nov. 14 at the beautiful Piedmont home of Lynne and Bill Hosler.
Lucy Ridgway, Cancer League President, welcomed donors, along with Jenna Caldwell, 2019 Holly Ball Chairperson. The event, organized by Cancer League members Lori Bouch and Rachelle Hebrard, brought donors together and gave Cancer League members the opportunity to extend their gratitude to the ball’s generous benefactors.
In attendance were John Collins, VP, General Manager Neiman Marcus Walnut Creek, along with Joe Flanagan, Operations Manager and Antonio Wali of Andreoli Jewelry who graciously provided a raffle prize valued over $4,000. The raffle winner was Lynne Hosler, the evening’s hostess.
Cancer League President, Lucy Ridgway, stated “We are so grateful to our longtime partner, Neiman Marcus, for making this event such a special evening for our supporters year after year. We love celebrating our donors who make our work of funding seed research in the fight against cancer possible.”
The annual Holly Ball, held this year at 6:00 p.m. on December 6 at the Claremont Country Club, is the Cancer League’s signature fundraising event. This year’s theme, The Club Speakeasy, will transport guests back to the roaring 1920’s, the time of the Great Gatsby. Highlights of the evening will include a silent auction, a raffle, a bid for the cause and dancing into the night. The event provides significant support for the Cancer League’s mission to raise funds for accredited non-profit organizations dedicated to the fight against cancer that focus on research, early detection, education and patient care.
