UPDATE: Parts of Piedmont without power should see it restored Monday

From the City of Piedmont on Sunday, October 27

ADVISORY: Power remains off in portions of Piedmont due to PG&E’s Public Safety Power Shutoff. PG&E has indicated that it should be able to begin the work necessary to restore power sometime tomorrow, Monday 10/28. Restoration work could take up to 48 hours, depending on the amount of damage found on their lines. Piedmonters are among the almost 950,000 Californians in 36 counties who are without power at the moment, so patience is appreciated while they work to get everyone restored.

Please note that PG&E’s Community Resource Center at Merritt College has closed. Residents who need the services available at a CRC should go to the UC Berkeley site.
