Alert | Road closure on Hampton between Crocker and King Aves on Oct. 1

On Tuesday, October 1, Hampton Road will be closed between Crocker and King Avenues from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm due to emergency road work. Detours will be in place to direct drivers around the closure.

Detours:

  • Drivers traveling westbound on Hampton Road will make a right turn on King Avenue, a left turn on Lincoln Avenue, and a left turn on Crocker Avenue. 
  • Drivers wishing to travel eastbound on Hampton Road will follow Crocker Avenue to Farragut Avenue, turn left on to King Avenue and then turn right on to Hampton Road.
  • Crocker Avenue will be open at its intersection with Hampton Rd, but one way traffic control will be in place.

This emergency road work is to repair sanitary sewer and storm sewer lines which were damaged by a water main leak.
