Family Sanity, a Bay Area organization that offers resources and support to parents of teens and young adults suffering with mental health issues, will be forming two new groups starting this September.
On the third Tuesday evening of each month, support meetings will be held for parents of teens and young adults.
- Parents of teens — Sarah MacKay Lynch, a Certified Parent Coach, facilitator
- Parents of young adults (18+) — Family Sanity Founder Lisa Scimens, facilitator
First meetings will take place on Tuesday, September 17. Support group meetings take place from 7:00-9:00 pm at a private home in the Crocker Highlands neighborhood of Oakland. Because the groups are limited in size, if interested, please contact Lisa Scimens at lisa@familysanity.org or 415-309-1001. A donation of $25 is suggested.
Family Sanity is a non-profit organization founded in 2014. In addition to monthly support groups, the organization also holds special events on topics such as cannabis and its affects on the teen/young adult brain and video game/technology addiction.
