SF Chronicle story has Piedmont buzzing

SF Chronicle article from May 2 about a Piedmont resident who opened his home to a homeless couple

For anyone who wasn’t following the latest Bay Area news this week, you might have missed some top headlines featuring the story of how local resident Terry McGrath opened up his home to a homeless couple, Greg Dunston, 61, and his partner Marie Mckinzie, 53.

The story first ran in the San Francisco Chronicle (Otis R. Taylor Jr. May 2, 2019), and was subsequently picked up by the well known podcast, NPR’s Forum hosted by Michael Krasny, several days later (May 6).

We know the story generated a national conversation about race, class, and what we owe each other as human beings. What did YOU think? Please share your thoughts below or email the Exedra at news@piedmontexedra.com.

  1. We hope our new neighbors received our homemade muffins!? We hope to meet you around the neighborhood soon.

  2. Shout out to my colleague City Council Member Tim Rood who closed our 5/6/19 City Council meeting by welcoming our new neighbors to Piedmont.
