Fire causes major damage to home at top of Piedmont Avenue

Piedmonter Betsy Lalli was on Piedmont Avenue shortly after noon on Tuesday, February 12, when a fire broke out at a residence on the 1800 block of Brandon Street, located at the top of Piedmont Avenue close to Holistic Veterinary Care. According to Lalli, seven fire engines responded and fire fighters put out the fire quickly. Two elderly home owners were not hurt, but there is significant damage to the garage and home.
