What’s happening at Millennium High School?

For these engaged high schoolers — lots!

Millennium High School will host its second annual talent show on Friday, January 25 at 7:30 pm at the Piedmont Community Hall. All MHS or PHS students are encouraged to sign up to perform. There will also be an OPEN MIC portion of the event to showcase student talent.

Last year’s acts included guitar playing, singing, dancing, stand up comedy, poetry reading and magic tricks.

To sign up or for more information, contact Marcela Privat-Gilman mprivat@piedmont.k12.ca.us. Tickets are $5 at the door. We hope to see you there on the 25th! All are welcome!

Next up — Millennium High School is hosting its annual Community Dinner on Sunday, March 17 at 5:30 pm at Veterans Hall.

Please join us for dinner, music, games and a silent auction! All proceeds will go to the MHS ASB and Parents Club to raise money for our all-school Camp Augusta retreat!

Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for kids, and can be purchased on the Piedmont Store or in person at the MHS office.

To make an auction donation, contact Teresa Baum. We hope to see you there!

Finally, MHS extends a heartfelt THANK YOU to the Piedmont Community for donating items for MHS’ community service project, “Hygiene Kits for Homeless Teens.” Thanks to community generosity, Millennium High School’s ASB class was able to donate over 75 hygiene kits to the Covenant House in Oakland, a support network and sanctuary for youth who are affected by homelessness and human trafficking.

We really appreciate all the donations that were dropped off at Mulberry’s last month. THANK YOU!¬†
