Boys JV basketball takes O’Dowd 51-50

The Piedmont Boy’s JV team achieved an historic win Friday, Jan. 11 against powerful Bishop O’Dowd.

Down by 2 with 15 seconds left, the boys executed coach Ben Spencer’s inbound play to perfection, freeing up junior Christian Hohener to drill a 3 pointer to win the game 51-50. Hohener finished the game with 10 points, Jack Anderson added 12, Jake Alering 8 and Zach Evans 7.

Coach Spencer believes it is the first time a Piedmont JV basketball team has defeated a Bishop O’Dowd JV team on the road.
