The City of Piedmont sent the following message out via AC Alert at approximately 9 a.m. 12/17
During the week of December 17, La Salle Avenue will be closed between Crest and Hampton Roads from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to accommodate construction work on private property to remediate a land slide which closed La Salle Avenue several years ago. Traffic will be detoured down Crest Road. Please use caution when transiting this area.
Residents who live on the closed block will be able to access their homes, but through traffic will not be allowed. If the work can be completed in a shorter amount of time, the road will be opened early.
Additional closures will be happening in the next few weeks to accommodate this work.
