Piedmont Makers Team Green win Lego championship

Piedmont Makers Team Green won the first Lego League Qualifier Tournament at Chadbourne Elementary Fremont beating out 15 other teams from schools around the Peninsula and East Bay to take first place. The team is made up of 5th graders from both Beach and Wildwood Elementary Schools. The team scored high in the Robot game, presented an innovative research project about farming on Mars, and demonstrated strong teamwork and core values. They advance to the Northern California East Bay District Championships at UC Berkeley on January 16, 2019.
