The Cub Scout Day Camp at Dracena Park is a great Piedmont tradition and opportunity for children grades 1st – 4th to experience nature and make new friends.
The theme of this year’s day camp is Skull and Crossbones: Beneath the Sea. Piedmont Pirates will play and make new friends under the beautiful Redwood canopy of Dracena Park. This summer camp is open to all girls and boys completing grades 1st to 4th grade. They create arts & crafts, learn about sea life on the open ocean, have fun with pirates, and best of all they are out of doors all afternoon.
The Day Camp is one week: Monday to Friday, June 3-7 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm (and Friday until 7:00 pm)
The Piedmont Cub Scout Day Camp is a tradition that goes back generations. This June all boys and girls completing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades will have a blast creating memories of their own at Dracena Park!
We will continue our tradition of fun with crafts, outdoor cooking, team-building/problem-solving/initiative games and have a wonderful week of searching for treasure! (Of course, we’ll have our traditional Egg Drop and picnic where the whole family will join us the last day, 5:30-7:00pm.)
WHO MAY PARTICIPATE:
All registered Cub Scouts, including Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Webelos as well as other
interested youth who are completing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade.
COST:
$170 per camper, if paid before April 30. ($175.00 if paid by credit card)
$190 per camper, if paid on or after April 30. ($195.50 if paid by credit card)
CAMP INCLUDES:
T-shirt, snacks, take home projects, camp patch, and lots of fun.
OTHER:
Those wishing to take advantage of the pick-up and drop-off services from Schoolmates (at Beach Elementary) please include an additional fee payment and a completed Escort Enrollment Form by clicking here: schoolmates-escort-enrollment-2019
There is a $5 cancellation fee. We cannot refund fees for cancellations after May 15, 2019
unless a substitute enrollment can be arranged.
If you are not a registered Cub Scout, you will also need to fill out a Cub Scout application form. This form can be picked up at the Scout office or will be mailed out with the confirmation of your Day Camp application.
The camp is run by Scouts and Venturers. Your child will be in a Den of 8-12 children, supervised by two Scout or Venturer staff members.
This will reserve a place at camp for your child. Additional information will be requested prior to camp and must be filled out and returned to ensure a complete registration.
